Gary Karton of The Last Akaway Interviewed on Parent Talk
Saturday, February 8, 2014: The Last Akaway author, Gary Karton was interviewed on Buffalo, New York’s WECK morning show Parent Talk. Parent Talk and its award-winning host and magazine-columnist, Linda O’Connor, are mainstays of Buffalo radio. During the ten-minute interview, O’Connor focused on many topics, including Karton’s youth and struggles with a learning disability. Karton stated that one of his goals in writing the book was to help kids, including his own, “develop a love for reading.” Karton continued to describe the book, his writing inspirations, and plans for a sequel to the popular title.
